prustens:

[04/12] + otp: iroh ii/asami sato

AU: post-finale - Asami accepts an invitation to attend a meeting of the United Forces to offer her knowledge and experience of the Equalists’ technology.

001: She hitches a ride with General Iroh to their headquarters. They end up befriending each other when he gives her some pointers to fine tune her self-defense skills.

002: Asami overhears from the crew about a confrontation between them and her father, who apparently sustained injuries when he resisted their attempts to restrain him for information. She confronts Iroh and he merely explains that Hiroshi’s knowledge about Equalist machinery could prove useful to the United Forces. Although she still feels conflicted between her anger and love for her father, Asami reluctantly drops the matter but not before forcing the general to promise that no harm would come to Hiroshi again.

003: At the Headquarters, Asami frequently drags Iroh along to test their prototype mobiles. She teases him about his difficulties in handling machinery, and they spend their free time together in and out of meetings by racing. Iroh finds that although he has no real love for driving as much as he does for sailing, he doesn’t mind it so much when he’s on the passenger seat.

004: With the meeting coming to a close, they both find themselves conflicted when they part ways. Aware that his duty no longer calls for him to remain in Republic City, he shares goodbyes with her before leaving for home. It only takes three days before he decides to turn back.
